Popular Viking RTS game Northgard not only have a release date for the console editions, but Shiro Games has announced Co-op mode, and even an official board game has been announced.
Northgard will release on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on September 26.
The console edition of the game will feature everything from the base game, including a solo campaign, online co-op, and online VS, as well as the Ragnarok and Relics updates. Unique to the consoles, it will have a new UI designed specifically for controllers. While the developers have confirmed a physical and digital release, a price was not determined.
Shiro Games also announced another upcoming PC expansion called Conquest. This major update will be free for all PC copies of the game, adding a new procedurally generated campaign and a co-op game mode.
And what is a press release without something strange? Shiro also revealed Northgard: Uncharted Lands, a 2-5 player board game based in the same universe. In it, players will organize clans, gather resources, build villages, and participate in combat. That’s all we know about it right now, however.
