Iron Harvest 1920 Enters Open Beta Today!

Iron Harvest, the steampunk style RTS by King Art Games has entered a playable beta! Players can get their first look at the game themselves today until release on Steam.

Iron Harvest features an alternate timeline to real life, where massive mechanical vehicles are commonplace in European warfare. Fight in historical settings with soldiers as giant mechanical robots fight beside them. Based in the mid-1920s, players can take part in a single-player campaign as well as a variety of multiplayer modes.

Starting today is the Iron Harvest open beta. During this time, players can choose one of three factions (Polania, Saxony, and the Rusviets) and participate in 1v1 , 2v2 ,and 3v3 battles.

I’d love to tell you how to participate in the reportedly free and open beta. But honestly, I can’t figure out how. The Steam page doesn’t say anything, neither does the developer website. Everyone’s talking about the beta but I can’t find out how to participate.

It is possible that I’m simply reporting this too early and the developers will post the open beta info later today. If that is the case, I’ll be sure to update this article. Stay tuned.

Iron Harvest will release properly on PC on September 1. Pre-purchasing is available now on Steam.

UPDATE

I was right. I was simply reporting on the beta launch too early. The open beta is currently free and available to Steam users. To participate, simply visit the Steam page and select the beta option.
